Is the first 2 months really free? What's the catch?

Yes, the first 2 months of hosting really is free. No hosting charges will become due until the second month anniversary of your signing up. If you choose to discontinue your plan before that time, no hosting charges apply, and no questions will be asked. We want to make sure you're completely happy before you make any commitment.

If you have also purchased a domain name, you ill need to pay for it, but that domain remains registered in your name and you are free to host it anywhere you wish while it remains current.

How long have you been in business?

We've been hosting and developing Website since June 2000.

Do I need a domain name ?

No, though one is recommended. We can give your site an URL such as yourname.bonzai.org.za. Some account features cannot be made available unless you have your own domain name.

If you have a domain name, however, you can simply transfer it to our servers at no extra cost.

Is the cost of registering a domain name included?

No. We can use your current domain name, if you have one, or can help you register one.

.co.za - R250 registration and R100 renewal anually

.org.za - R250 registration and R100 renewal anually, free for non-profitable organizations

.com - R250 registration and R100 renewal anually

.net - R250 registration and R100 renewal anually

.org - R250 registration and R100 renewal anually

.us - R300 registration and R150 renewal anually

.info - R300 registration and R150 renewal anually

.biz - R300 registration and R150 renewal anually

Can I run my own cgi scripts?

Yes, from the Config 10 Package onwards, you may install your own scripts.

We reserve the right to disable or remove any script residing on the server that causes a security concern or interferes with the acceptable operation of the server.

Can I restrict access to directories?

Yes, you can use the .htaccess method, and any script that uses this option for securing sections of your site. You may also use PHP sessions to secure webpages and websites.

What about bandwidth limitations?

We do not restrict the bandwidth usage. But when we see that you use a lot of bandwidht consecutively every month, then we would have to negotiate a price for that bandwidth usage, as this could affect other websites on our server. We haven't had problems with this yet, and we are hoping to offer superb service and speed when it comes to server and bandwidth usage.
